*Genesis 2:1-3 - God rested. He sanctified it [set it apart for a holy use] .

*Exodus 20:8-11 - The Fourth Commandment

*Revelation 1:10 - There is a "Lord's Day" [Kuriake hemera]. This is the only place this Greek phrase is mentioned in all of scripture. The word on is from the Greek 'ev (en) - it never means about or concerning. This text therefore cannot possibly be referring to the "Day of the Lord" (Christ's second coming), but must be referring only to a special day referred to by John as the Lord's Day.

*Mark 2:27-28 - Jesus is Lord of it. When and for whom was the Sabbath made? It was made for man at the creation of the world.

*Colossians 1:12-21 - Everything was made by Jesus.

Ecclesiastes 3:14 - Whatever God does stands forever; nothing added or subtracted.

*Luke 4:16 - Jesus had a habit of going to the synagogue on the Sabbath.

Matthew 12:10-13 - It is lawful to do well on the Sabbath.

*Luke 23:54-56; 24:1-3 - The preparation day, the Sabbath, and the first day of the week follow in Bible order.

Leviticus 23 (All) - The seven ceremonial Sabbaths were distinctly separate from the Seventh-day sabbath.

*Genesis 1:5 - The evening and the morning make up a day.

*Deuteronomy 16:6 - At even, at the going down of the sun ...

*Mark 13:35 - Even is different from midnight, cockcrowing, or morning. Pope Alexandria III changed daily reckoning to midnight. This was not accepted by the Protestant world for over 100 years.

*Exodus 16:4-5 - The manna proved the people concerning the Sabbath commandment.

*Exodus 16:22-28 - "How long refuse ye to keep My Commandments and My Laws?"

*Exodus 31:16-17 - The Sabbath is a sign between God and His children perpetually.

*Galatians 3:29 - If ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.

*Romans 2:28-29 - He is a Jew which is one inwardly, in the heart.

Genesis 26:5 - Abraham kept God's Law.

*Matthew 21:37-43 - "The kingdom of God shall be taken from you [the Jewish nation], and given to a nation bringing forth the fruits thereof."

*Isaiah 56:2, 6-7 - The Sabbath was made for everyone who joined with God.

Ecclesiastes 12:13 - Fear God, and keep His commandments. This is the whole duty of man.

*Ezekiel 20:19-20 - The Sabbath day is a sign between God and His people.

*Ezekiel 20:12 - The Sabbath is a sign of sanctification.

*Isaiah 58:12-14 - Turn away your foot from trampling on the Sabbath.

*Hebrews 10:24-25 - Not forsaking the assembly ...

*Matthew 24:20 - Jesus told disciples to pray ...

*John 15:10 - "I have kept My Father's commandments, and abide in His love."
